For gym owners & coaches

Build a culture where every gymnast feels “I was born to fly.”

The book The Girl Who Wanted to Fly is the first piece of a growing resource kit you can use inside your gym. Meerkats Gymnastics exists to support the people who build that culture every day — owners, directors, and coaches.

Mindset & confidence Story-based culture tools Designed for real gyms

Not a sales funnel. Just a real conversation about what would actually serve you, the parents, and your athletes.

How Gyms Are Using The Book

Every program is different, but here are some simple, low-friction ways gyms are weaving the story into their culture. You don’t have to change your whole system — just layer this onto the great work you already do.

1. As a Confidence & Mindset Tool

  • Use a page or moment from the story to introduce themes your athletes struggle with — courage, consistency, pressure, and believing in themselves.
  • Use key moments (fear, falls, pressure) as conversation starters with groups or individual athletes.
  • Create a “You Were Born to Fly” board where athletes share small wins, not just scores.
Great for optional & JO teams

2. As a Gift & Keepsake

  • Season kick-off gift for team families to set expectations and language.
  • End-of-season keepsake with a personalized note inside the front cover.
  • “Meerkat of the Week” prize for athletes who show courage, kindness, or leadership.

Quick Questions You Might Have

“Is this just for girls?”

The main character in the story is a girl, but the themes are universal: pressure, nerves, friendship, grace, and learning to be kind to yourself. Many gyms use it with all of their athletes and simply frame it as “this is what grace looks like in our gym.”

“Do I have to stock a ton of copies?”

No. You can start small with a handful of team or lobby copies, or send parents directly to Amazon. Bulk pricing just gives you the option to keep it in-house if that makes more sense for your gym.

Let’s Talk About Your Gym.

Tell me a little about your program, your team culture, and what you’re trying to build. I’ll reply personally — no autoresponders, no funnels.

Whether you’re a brand-new program or an established gym, I’d love to cheer you on.
